Why do people choose Totobobo mask? (2)

For some reason my first post “Why do you choose Totobobo mask?” cannot accept more comments. Here is a second post based on the same question, now including all the earlier comments.

Doctor Anil recommends Totobobo mask for asthma patients

There are many reasons to choose the Totobobo mask. For example, Dr. Anil Simhadri MB MChir (Cambridge) MRCP (London) from UK, he told us:

Doctor Anil Simhadri wear Totobobo mask to protect himself from air pollution

Doctor Anil Simhadri is a doctor /physician in the UK at UCL, and bike daily in London using totobobo mask. He suffers from asthma and has been using totobobo masks since Feb 2010. His cycling performance with regard to speed of cycling has improved by 12%. The mask helps improve his control of asthma. Asthma is a disease of airway hyper-responsiveness. The tracheal airways are hyper-responsive to various triggers. Pollutants in the air as in inner city London can trigger the airways to constrict or narrow. Totobobo masks prevent these pollutants reaching the airways and so help remove the trigger for asthma.

I am a doctor /physician in the UK at UCL, and bike daily in london to work using totobobo mask. I suffer from asthma using a ventolin inhaler but since 2010 have been using totobobo masks because I find them very useful. My cycling performance with regard to speed of cycling has improved. Previously I might cycle 6 miles in 1 hour. Now I cycle 6 miles in 50 minutes. The mask helps improve my control of asthma.

Reasons from Totobobo mask users

Chuck Stefanato, a Scrollsawer from Canada told us about this:

I purchased the mask because of the review by Steve Good at the Scrollsaw Workshop. In it he stated that it was very comfortable and did not fog up glasses. Since using it I have to agree, it is very comfortable and you don’t even know you are wearing it. I have asthma and the fine sawdust created by the scroll saw affects it, but using the mask eliminates the asthma attacks. I was using disposable masks previously with limited results, but the Totobobo mask beats them all.

Ken Henschel from Israel

The reason I bought the mask is because I have asthma. However, I enjoy walking to work, which is 5 kilometres (3 miles) from my home. There is a lot of vehicular traffic. I have caught bronchitis and am still coughing. I am hoping to protect my lungs and reduce the burden on my immune system.

Jessica Gibbs from USA:

I am training for a marathon in Chicago and have been getting very sick from the train, bus, truck, car, cigarette and industry fumes. I am a dental student so I have access to lots of different masks, but I didn’t feel any of them did anything when I ran. During the day I constantly taste diesel from the run the night before. I did a lot of searching about the Totobobo mask and it looks like it should help. As a student it’s a lot more money than I can spend, but I don’t want to give up running. I plan on wearing the mask for every run and race

I chose TOTOBOBO because I ride all over New York City and have developed a terrible lung irritation because of the pollution. From everything I read, this seemed like the best mask both for protection and comfort.

Shady July 4, 2012 at 7:22 am
I had to buy another pair of Totobobo masks because I could feel the difference riding in LA after using them for a few weeks (then losing them!). After living in Cairo, I developed some respiratory issues that have made my lungs sensitive to pollution. These keep me from feeling nasty on my daily bike commute through traffic in Los Angeles.

Jose July 5, 2012 at 10:50 pm
I chose totobobo mask because I used to walk to work along a 8 ways road every day. It’s full of cars and buses, and the smell is relly bad. So I can’t imagine how much pollution is generated there.
I will use it also for any other walking in Madrid. I expect that I can get rid of the itchy throat!

I am attending a week-long pastel class with approx. 12 other pastelists. By mid-week there is so much pastel dust in the air that you start to feel it’s affects. I am so happy to have found the solution to this problem with your mask. THANK YOU!

I chose Totobobo for London cycling because the filters are good and one of the mask options only covers the mouth which gives some flexibility. The bigger picture is that thanks to Campaign for Clean Air in London http://cleanairinlondon.org/ we now all know how poisonous the air is and we have to protect ourselves as best we can.

Matthew Ingram July 6, 2012 at 6:35 pm
Heard marvellous things about this filters. Detest my Respro Techno mask!

Sunell July 8, 2012 at 11:08 pm
I just ordered my Totobobo mask!

I’m looking forward to using it because I live in Taiwan and either cycle or take a scooter to and from work. I have constant battles with throat infections and my breathing, both when I’m cycling and at rest. I’ve tried other masks, but found them to be either too uncomfortable, with the headband sliding down all the time and definitely too hot for this climate. I also found that they did not breathe enough and that there was too much condensation.

I read some bloggers’ comments about Totobobo and also clicked through the website. Especially in this climate, I look forward to having a mask that is made from an anti-bacterial material and allow maximum airflow.

I’ll post some feedback after the first month of using it

RJ July 10, 2012 at 8:18 am
I chose Totobobo because I regularly walk to work through a congested downtown loaded with large idling trucks at stop lights and the air quality is terrible.
When I watch the local weather on The Weather Channel, often our air quality is bad due to pollen & particulates.
The other masks out there seem so clunky and industrial compared to the sleekness and light weight of the Totobobo.
I feel very good about incorporating this product into my active lifestyle.

Nicole July 11, 2012 at 6:49 am
I searched several sites to find a mask that could filter heavy air pollution and chose Totobobo biker masks because the info on the site is well written and from diverse sources. The details helped me choose the mask I needed now it remains to be seen how H O T I’ll feel wearing the mask in India during the summer- hmmm. Anyway, thanks for a great site.

Poonam Chandra July 11, 2012 at 9:13 am
I chose to order Totobobo mark because next month we are moving to India for a few years and pollution levels are sky high there. Totobobo gives us hope to keep ourselves pollution free.

Elena Yuan July 11, 2012 at 10:44 pm
Beijing’s air is simply un-breathable sometimes; I’ve searched through most of the anti-pollution masks available locally but couldn’t find anything to my liking. TOTOBOBO is recommended on the US embassy in China (Beijing)’s webpages. This is the same website giving out hourly pollution level updates to everyone. I think this is worth a try.

Being an asthma sufferer who is now planning on cycling a distance to work through the busy, smoggy streets of London, I felt I needed to protect my lungs from the daily polution. Doing quite a bit of research I have found that totobobo face mask offer the top protection I need, along with being customisable and well priced.

Liam July 13, 2012 at 1:37 am
I’ve chosen to buy a totobobo mask for my mum who lives and cycles regularly in Jakarta. She tells me how bad the air pollution is, so I wanted to get her something that could really benefit her health. I have a respro mask, but have found it to restrict my breathing. Based on the reviews, totobobo doesn’t have the same problems. Fingers crossed that works out to be true for my mum!

Robin Baumgarten July 17, 2012 at 10:24 pm
I’m cycling through London, and although doing sport is healthy, many of the benefits might be canceled out because of the air pollution i’m breathing in next to all the car exhausts. After researching on the Internet, the totobobo filters came away ahead, so I ordered them straight away!

More reasons from users:

Thana July 19, 2012 at 4:18 pm
I started cycling about a month ago. Having to cycle from the outskirt of Bangkok to the center of downtown regularly exposes me to a lot of air pollution, mostly from the exhaust of motor vehicles. The worst is the bus that sometimes blows black smoke in my face. The masks I found available for sales here aren’t just good enough they don’t fit well and I can’t breath with it on. I don’t want to risk having respiratory diseases so I better get a good quality mask and get it soon. Prevention is better than cure and cheaper as well.

Ron Fisher July 23, 2012 at 3:37 am
After a lot of research on your site and many other we decided this was the mask to try at Burning Man.
Veteran burners recommended them and we will see how they work out in a dust storm on the Playa!
I also bike to work in Vancouver BC and as a past smoker my lungs need all the help they can get.
My partner is an artist and want to try them in her studio. Thanks

Ian July 26, 2012 at 7:25 am
I chose the Totobobo for a good fitting mask after receiving a kidney transplant. It has better air flow that most masks that I have seen and once I am healed I will continue to wear it got taekwondo. I should wear a good mask for about two years after transplant and being able to see the fit, and change the filters is very important to me.

OLIVER July 27, 2012 at 3:49 am
I’ve chosen to buy a totobobo mask for my girlfriend who lives and cycles regularly in Barcvelona. She tells me how bad the air pollution is, so I wanted to get her something that could really benefit her health.
Happy birthday linda!!!

Jackie Nunez July 28, 2012 at 8:12 am
Just ordered my mask.
I’ve been researching masks to bring to Burning Man.
This year is due to be the worst ever for dust storms, due to the drought.
I am looking forward to testing out my mask at Black Rock City!

Sara in China July 28, 2012 at 4:18 pm
I’ve been biking in a large city in China for the past two years, often resulting in a cough that lasts for months. There is the constant tearing down of buildings and new construction going on. I am looking forward to receiving Totobobo masks for both my husband and me! Now can you make one for my dog???

Pascal July 28, 2012 at 10:54 pm
I chose the totobobo mask because I move from the countryside of Germany to a mega city in China. I just want to keep my lung as clean and good in shape as they are now .

Waro July 31, 2012 at 10:30 pm
i live in BKK and occasionally bike on the road traffic and air pollution. i searched the mask to protect my breath from any pollutants in the air and luckily me i found TOTOBOBO that looks like 3M mask and show a pad test in BKK. and then i ordered and look forward to get them in soon.

Max Raymond August 3, 2012 at 4:33 am
I’m a cyclist in London and I love using my bike to get around. For me the daily commute is wonderful, see the city getting the exercise. I can’t get enough. However I really hate breathing traffic fumes be it a harsh blast from a bus, an iggnorent driver reving up in my face or some very simple mined fock who remove the catalytic converters from their engines (disgusting
Not to mention illegal) I choose these mask after being dissatisfied with another brand and reading many great reviews in London cycling media. You will breath easy and gasp at the amount of rubbish that collects in the filters. Ride safe peeps.

Bianka August 4, 2012 at 6:41 am
I have moved from Ilha Grande, an island in Brazil with no cars and no pollution, straight to New York City. Me and my 6 years old daughter bike all the time. The masks will be a must in our lives!

I heard about Totobobo from a friend of mine. I haven’t used it yet however am looking forward to trying it.

  • Jamie Sebenius 2013-12-27, 9:41 am

Today I received the Totobobo Mask and Accessories.
The mask fit the contour of my face immediately.
I am impressed with the seal of the mask.
I ordered the 92% filters and I am using the mask to filter out
second-hand cigarette smoke. The smoker smokes outside the
residence and then comes in usually exhaling the last puff of smoke
or a second exhale that still has residual smoke. This and any drafts at the
porch entry cause smoke residues to enter and be inhaled.

This mask is perfect to remove the residual smoke that gets in.
After wearing the mask for 1/2 hour, removing it showed immediately how well
it is working. It is truly amazing how much pollutant and smells are removed.
I used to pull my sweatshirt up over my mouth and nose to accomplish
    a similar result.

This Totoboto Mask is the answer I have been looking for and it works great!!!
Even better, is the fact that I can still order the 94% and 96% for even better filtering
should there be a higher density of smoke present. …Not required at this time, though.
You will be most satisfied using this mask and I am very happy to have found it.
Thank You Totobobo for your quality designed mask and accessories.

I crossed paths with Totobobo on Alibaba when I was looking for Non-Smoker Masks on the internet.
I read the article and the study and it sounded like a lot of care and thought
went into the design of the mask, especially the seal against the face.
I liked the idea that there was earloop and classic mount option.
I also liked the replaceable filter elements and choice of 92-94-96% filter types.
I chose the earloop type. I look forward to trying the Totobobo Mask out.
I will update my impression of it in a later blog.

My family and I live in China, and with air pollution at historical high, we needed a high quality mask to maintain health. Numerous people in our school community recommended Totobobo, and after a good amount of web research, determined this product was the best choice for our family. Additionally, customer service is very helpful as I had to sort through billing address/shipping address complications. Looking forward to using this product.

  • Zita 2013-12-06, 2:59 pm

I have selected the totobobo masks as they have replacable filters. I really like the clear communication on website about the need to replace filters. At least I know what I pay for. Other mask companies often sell high price with a mask lifetime of 80 hours for pollution above 300.
Today in Shanghai pollution got really bad, above 500!

  • Isabelle 2013-12-04, 1:31 pm

I live in north China, the air pollution is very high here and I want to protect me and my children. I just ordered 5 masks for all my family, and I’m impatient to get them and try them !
Hope the kids will feel comfortable with it (may be they will have fun with these masks – “hey mum, I’m a super hero !!!”, who knows ?).

  • D Waters 2013-11-24, 11:33 am

I live in SLC. UT., because of the mountains that surround our city, every winter pollution is trapped and settles in the valleys, this terrible cycle is called a temperature inversion, this lasts approx. for 3 months and has been showing up in summer months as well, I am very active outdoors year round and I am hoping that the air filter mask with save my life, I am looking forward to receiving my order.

  • Robert 2013-11-22, 6:21 am

I’ve been looking for a decent mask for a while now, since Sydney’s bush fires. Now that i am also going to be riding up to 80km per day as my commute into Sydney I’d really like to make sure my lungs stay clear and healthy.
Apparently up to 1200 people die due to respiratory illnesses caused by vehicle traffic per year in Sydney, I’d rather not be a part of that.

  • Jens 2013-11-19, 7:32 pm

I’ll soon be moving from Germany to Nepal, and as an enthusiastic cyclist (MTB and Racing Bike) I am little worried about my lungs there.
Where I was cycling here usually outside in the countryside, there was not much to worry about. But Kathmandu is a different story. Reading user recommendations and seeing the product I am very much looking forward to test it myself. Will let you know how dirty the filters then turn out and how long they last (I fear it will be below a week though :(… )

  • danielle 2013-11-11, 9:56 am

    Great product. Thanks.

  • Cameron 2013-11-08, 2:59 am

I bought Totobobo because I ride motorcycles in San Francisco and Oakland where I sit behind exhaust fumes for several hours a day. I have tried Respro masks and for being designed for motorcycles they don’t fit under a full face helmet because of the huge Velcro straps, and they are also ridiculously expensive. Totobobo will allow me to use my helmet and still filter my air without breaking the bank.

  • JM 2013-11-07, 7:55 am

After a long check on different websites, Totobobo seems to rank amongst the best reusable anti pollution masks which is why I’m willing to give it a try. Health is very important and one should always take good care of it.

  • RBlackie 2013-10-31, 10:41 am

I bought the Totobobo mask in 2013 because I commute on a cycle to work in Jakarta. Indonesia is known as having some of the worst air quality in the world, and when I began cycling I really began to notice congestion in my chest and a regular sore throat, although I already was using a fabric mask. Since using the mask, both the sore throat and congestion have disappeared. I have noticed that the sore throat sometimes comes back if I continue using filters which should have been changed.

Although Totobobo was quite costly (especially when costs from singapore are included), the mask looked very good and the ability to change filters was particularly attractive. Spread across the year, the cost of my mask works out at about US$6 per month (including international shipping & replacement filters), which is actually very cheap especially when you see what gets trapped on the filters. I Purchased the headstrap classic with extra 94% filters (92% bulk pack was sold out at the time). This review is based on 5 weeks of use.

My experience using the mask has generally been excellent, and I have recommended it to many people. Using the mask is very easy. Once it’s on, it is very comfortable and I tend to forget about it. It can easily be pulled aside when necessary which I find useful as need to be able to speak in order to purchase train tickets on part of my journey. A major advantage over my previous fabric mask is that it covers the minimum of my face and the straps are simple, thin plastic. This makes the mask much more comfortable, because the fabric mask trapped heat around my face and neck like a scarf, which quickly became uncomfortable in the Jakarta heat.

Although I was worried excess moisture might get trapped in the mask, so far I have found that this is not a problem. Furthermore, if the mask gets wet through condensation or rain, it can be wiped dry easily, or it will dry itself very quickly. With the fabric mask, I sometimes had to put a cold wet mask on if it had rained in the morning and the mask hadn’t dried before hometime.

The filters are excellent and I found the comparison colour guide on the replacement filter packaging a very handy feature, making it simple to know when to change the filter. Changing the filter can be done in under a minute, and is very easy. In my experience in Jakarta, I need to change the filters after about 12 hours of cycling time (see photo). It’s quite alarming to see what the filters collect, that would have otherwise been in my lungs.

I think it looks a lot nicer than many of the other alternatives on the market, and many people in the street have been curious about the mask, even though wearing masks is very common in Jakarta. The clear plastic means you can easily see when the mask needs a clean. The mask packs down pretty small, and is durable, so I can easily stuff it in a pocket or in my rucksack when I’m not on the bike.

I still find it quite difficult to get a complete seal, because my nose is quite narrow and it is difficult to get the mask to seal where the nose joins the face (although watching the fitting video improved the fit a lot). However, I think that even the partial seal is sufficient to cut out most of the pollution. I’m reluctant to start cutting the mask in case I make the problem worse.

My strap snapped after 4 weeks of use, which was frustrating as I didn’t order a spare with the original shipment and the cost of ordering one now would be about US$30 (including shipping). Fortunately, the strap can easily be tied back together and I have continued to use the mask without problems.

Overall I would (and have) recommended it to anyone cycling in an urban area. I think it is an excellent product.
    thanks Totobobo

  • M Guthmiller 2013-10-31, 7:20 am

I have just placed an order for the Totobobo mask. The reason for my purchase is because we live in the back country in a log home heated with a fireplace. The fireplace glass doors seal the fireplace, but apparently enough smoke escapes to trigger my daughters Asthma. We are hoping the Totobobo mask will eliminate the problem.

  • Tay Kian Guan 2013-10-26, 4:15 pm

I live in the famous polluted city of Beijing and picked up cycling since last year. Not sure what the long term effects are of the pollution but the Totobobo masks certainly helped to cut down those risks. Have been using the mask in the past year and have ordered more filters. The light weight and “customizable” fit is great!

  • Steve 2013-10-22, 10:03 pm

Heard this Totobobo is a product of much research and development by the manufacturer, and is not only comparable to N95 but yet easy to breathe for users who wish to use it for cycling. Therefore, decided to try them out once I received the products. Had just made an online order for the classic version plus filter replacements. Looking forward to test them.

  • Q. K. 2013-10-22, 4:58 pm

  • Richard Black Fischer 2013-09-04, 6:47 am

My dad is a longshoreman and the air quality down at the docks is terrible he comes and washes out his sinuses and black stuff just comes pouring out also the trucks he drives seem to have a lot of ventilation problems and the exhaust comes into the cab. He won’t wear the cheap old funny looking masks they give him to use so I am hoping he will try this one even if it’s just because I bought it for him as a birthday gift and realizes it’s really not that bad and he will see and feel the results of wearing it and then not want to go without one from now on.

I decided to get the mask after all the problems suffered with the haze this year. The N95 masks last for only several hours before losing their efficacy, and are pretty hard to acquire, besides. I really need a mask that’s cheaper (and easier to get) in the long run, because I can’t possibly be buying hundreds of masks each time the haze comes in.

I just received the TTO Classic, and couldn’t wait to try it on and get back to work on my pastels. I am finding it difficult to breathe with it on; it feels like I am trying to breathe in a sauna. Is this something most people experience but get used to, or am I in the minority?
I just don’t think I can use it.

  • Mish Lean 2013-01-31, 10:49 pm

I live in Beijing where pollution levels are incredibly high and especially so these past weeks. A friend and I did some research and found Totobobo to be the best possible mask option and we’re not the only ones who think that! When we tried to buy them locally, they were sold out everywhere! I’m glad we were able to secure some at the HK store. Thank you Carrie for all your help! I look forward to breathing better quality air soon!

  • Yimmy 2013-01-30, 11:57 am

I heard about Totobobo from a friend of mine. I’m from Beijing, China and I agree the air these days is brutal! I started to wear 3M carbon masks nearly 2 years ago and it is quite heavy and not easy to breath out steams because it is thick and not washable. After I tried totobobo, I simply can’t go back! It is so light and breathable. I love it. I also helped my friends to buy them from the online store here because in China, it is simply sold out!

  • Chunjie Jiang 2013-01-30, 9:44 am

I decided to use Totobobo mask because PM2.5 value in Beijing is very high. The sky is always gray and I want to better protect myself and my family members. I found a place in Beijing that sells Totobobo masks but it was way expensive than the price I could get online. Therefore, I decided to buy them from totobobo.com. I will definitely recommend Totobobo masks to my friends as well. The air is so dirty and I think that everybody living in Beijing should pay attention to his/her health.

  • D.Titov 2013-01-30, 7:39 am

I chose the totobobo mask because I’m an artist who works with pastels and charcoal. The metals in the pastels can be dangerous so I decided to wear a mask. I haven’t used it yet however am looking forward to trying it.

  • John 2013-01-29, 4:04 pm

I heard about Totobobo from a friend. He has done a lot of research and mentioned that Totobobo is better than 3M and also cheaper. After looking up some information online and finding great views, I have decided to try them myself.

  • Mona 2013-01-29, 3:54 pm

We are living in air polluted Beijing. I heard about totobobo from business school friends and want to give it a try. Bought 6 for the entire family. I wish there were products for my toddler too but heard the totobobo ones only work for 5 years and up.

  • fei zeng 2013-01-29, 2:57 pm

We chose totobobo because we live in Beijing. And our health guru just recommended the mask to everyone.

  • Seattlesachs 2013-01-29, 12:39 pm

Washability, ability to fit both adults and children, reusability, comfort. Comments of others make it clear that this mask is likely to meet all our requirements like no other mask could.

  • Paul Y. 2013-01-29, 11:59 am

Have tried various other masks and wanted to try Totobobo because of its sturdier design and replaceable filters, which is similar to my old 3M N95 construction grade masks that I used when I was renovating my home. Key features for me are sturdiness, washability and replaceable filters and available supplies of replaceable parts (straps, filters and filter-holding mechanism) should anything break. A friend tried the mask in the Beijing store recently and found the material very soft on the face. Apparently the mask is made in Singapore, they are in stock now and the few customer service queries I had were promptly answered within 24 hours – all positive indicators for me – so I will order three masks and give it a go.

  • blbsunny 2013-01-29, 2:22 am

Totobobo is absolutely necessary for me and others living in Beijing with pm2.5 TTvTT

We are moving back to Beijing. We have been working hard to find an effective product which can block pm2.5. Hope totobobo will work well and look forward to having it.

  • Winnie Leung 2013-01-26, 11:42 am

After some research on the Web. I found Totobobo mask is recommended by a lot of people. We will try to use in in Beijing, Beijing is so polluted these days, dust mask is quite essential.

  • Zhongyan Wang 2013-01-25, 9:22 am

High AQI and terrible fog in Shanghai.I just care my parents’ health and 6200(3M) is too large&strange for the old. TOTOBOBO has a nice look and it’s convenient to take and also looks like the common mask.

  • Si Zhang 2013-01-25, 12:26 am

Me and my husband are moving back to China. Getting a Totobobo mask was one of the first things we arranged. I’m pregnant and I want to limit my baby exposure to harmful pollutants as much as possible.

  • L.Smith 2013-01-24, 5:18 pm

Living in China these days is brutal. I heard a lot of good things about totobo from other cyclists so decided to give them a shot. Customer service from dustmask-respirators.com was above and beyond exceptional!

  • Pawel Zelezniakowicz 2013-01-23, 7:21 pm

    Hello
I have decided to order Totobo masks, because I live in Krakow in Poland, which is one of the most polluted city in Europe. However me and my friends do enjoy outdor activities, like daily biking to work, or running in the evening, and nowadays these simple activities are hazardous, for us here. for more than 200 days a year we cross all norms for pollution in air. so that is why we have decided for Totobo masks.

  • Peter 2013-01-22, 10:08 pm

I live in Beijing, last week we had 2.5micron 2air values of above 800, crazy!

  • Ming Poon 2013-01-22, 2:00 pm

I like Totobobo because the filters can be easily replaced and are affordable. Totobobo masks are also ideal because they can fit many different face sizes. In Beijing, we use the masks all the time and can’t understand why more aren’t using them.
Thank you Totobobo for making a good product

  • jasmine l. 2013-01-21, 5:58 pm

i just moved to china and the pollution in my city is way worse than expected! i’m also a very active person who was happy to hear that the totobobo mask doesn’t fog up with condensation, and breathes well when doing sports. thanks!

  • Alison 2013-01-19, 7:29 pm

I am about to use these masks as I was told that these are the BEST by a friend in Hong Kong. I will keep you updated on what they are like!

  • Kim 2013-01-18, 12:21 am

We live in Chengdu and have used Totobobo masks for a couple of months now. The amount of dirt we are catching in the filters is unnerving, just by cycling about 5 hours per week to work. On the bright side of things, at least these masks do work…

  • J Simon 2013-01-17, 10:37 pm

I live in Beijing, pollution has been bad lately, I researched and saw doctors’ recommendation for totobobo…. got one locally and want more, but the next day they were sold out everywhere locally!

  • Stephanie 2013-01-16, 5:09 pm

I have ordered a set of masks for our family because we are moving to Beijing in a couple of weeks. Because we have two little children, I want to protect them as much as I can to the recent bad air quality. I’m sure they will make a difference after what I have read and heard about the masks.

  • Tom 2013-01-15, 6:47 pm

it is the only mask which can stop PM2.5 and could be use repeatedly. The famous Respro can only stop PM10.
It is a must-have if you wanna survive in Beijing

  • Liu 2013-01-14, 4:18 pm

With friend’s introduction, and after comparing with other similar products, I choose to buy the products of Totobobo for my families and friends, considering that the weather in the plan where I locate is so bad recently.

  • tim m 2013-01-14, 8:42 am

I live in Salt Lake City, which has some of the worst air quality in the US. I commute year round by bike and I don’t want to drive (making the air situation worse) when the air is unhealthy.

  • Ed 2013-01-14, 3:11 am

I am concerned about an upcoming trip to Beijing and reading about the extreme levels of air pollution. After due research I came up with the Totobobo (mouth and nose) being far superior to all other n95 masks. With two heart operations I -must- be careful. I am confident that my Totobob will keep my health intact to visit Beijing and other areas of the world with air pollution.

  • Dianne Wellems 2013-01-14, 1:28 am

I will be moving to Beijing and after the news about the air pollution levels rising, I want the chance to protect my lungs. This one was highly recommended on almost all Health China sites I visited and people talked about how easy it is to breathe and their allergies went down. Can’t beat that! I just ordered mine and I hope it will save my lungs from the pollution. It was nice to see package deals, helps sort all the material together, nice touch!

I will review again once I receive the product.

  • Juan Llapart 2013-01-13, 10:54 pm

Im driving a moto everyday for 20 km in one of the most polluted cities in the world, Luanda (Angola). The conditions of the cars here are so poor and the quality of the air is really deplorable. Ive found an excellent review of the totobobo mask in a cycling blog and i think it is the best option for me.

  • Chandrakant 2013-01-13, 8:41 pm

Cycling in city like Bangalore is not fun unless one uses pollution mask. My wife commutes to office 3 times a week. Her office is 14km away from home, she developed allergies like sneezing, running nose, throat infection etc. I bought a 3M Half Face Mask size-S from USA, it does not fit her small face and more over its not designed for cyclist in mind; its not suitable for heavy breathing. After extensive research, I came across totobobo, many cycling groups like bangalore-bikers, bumsonthesaddle/blog in Bangalore have recommended totobobo which is perfect for cyclists. One best feature I liked; it can be customised to fit small face.

  • Gustavo Bruske 2013-01-13, 3:43 pm

I live in Beijing, enough said 🙂

  • Chris Ramsey 2013-01-11, 2:54 pm

After a lot of research I found this mask online.
I am a pastel artist but have severe asthma so struggle with
Pastel dust irritating my lungs. Other masks fog up and are
Uncomfortable. I believe this mask will make all the difference
    . It comes highly reccommended.

  • Noelle 2013-01-10, 11:29 am

I have recently started cycling to work and have been struggling with fumes from trucks and cars as well as cigarette fumes which has been making me feel very physically unwell. I had been searching online for a new mask and came across an article about the side affects of pollution and the affect it has on our bodies. From the article I came across of someone that receommended the supercool mask. I didnt hesitate and bought it immediately, now I cant wait to receive it and say goodbye to those toxic fumes on the roads!

  • Camilo Arrieta 2013-01-08, 6:17 am

I just ordered my TOTOBOBO mask. I did quite a research about face masks, nose filters and I encounter a lot of different opinions about the subject. Most people agree that the Totobobo classic is the best option and for extra nice smelling filtering use the matrix caps. My opinion sounds like cheap marketing but I was looking for something that really works. I have colleagues that use the Respro ones and I agree that they look cool but they didn’t got a very good rating from costumers, blogs and different websites. I live in London and I go to work on my bike every day so I need something effective. I cycle in a massive city not like between little villages in Germany with super pure air.

i was looking for a mask that i could wear while biking that wasn’t too big and heavy… very excited i may have found it.

Doing big guns chemo and extensive Web search for a mask to when in public managed to unearth this product. I’m an engineering manager who analyzes every purchase–I’ve yet to try, but on specifications, description, and user reports this device is hands down a winner. Less obtrusive, more effective, re-useable, and reasonable price for an engineered product. It will also prove useful for my woodworking, and boat maintenance when I get my life back. Kudos for thinking out of box!!

  • Nick 2012-12-19, 2:54 pm

I use Totobobo becsuse orher masks simply fidnt fit my face. You can definitely feel a big difference when cycling in traffic!

  • Stijn 2012-12-18, 12:19 am

    Hi,

I’m commuting approx. 40kms a day (2×20), mostly aside dense traffic. Often traffic is jammed so I’m riding next to stationary cars, trucks, busses…
I was looking for a mask solution for over a year and never got further than the respro masks, which I didn’t really trust, Allthough I recently read they are pretty good as well, but they are so bulky!
Every year I get a throat inflammation (viral) and it allways takes more than a week to get rid of it while my family members are much less affected. I’m thinking this might be related to me breathing car fumes more.
So, I’m gonna give the Totobobo a chance. My only concern is breathing resistance. I ride hard and hence breath hard, so I’m afraid I won’t get enough oxygen in.

I am using totobobo mask for over a year.
I cycle to work in heavy traffic, and the mask makes my breathing much easier.
I’ve also tries some other mask in the past, like airbreath, and none of the other mask does its work like totobobo.
    I highly recommend it.

  • Przemek Maciolek 2012-12-16, 2:25 am

Cracow, while beautiful, is one of the most polluted cities in EU (I believe that during the winter the air quality is even worse than in case of London). Few months ago I started using bicycle for commuting and cannot look back for any other option. Cycling is just so right from a number of reasons.

But now, we have winter here, and the pollution levels are many times over the dangerous zone. You can pretty much feel you are breathing toxic fumes… I needed to find a solution – that would allow me to cycle to work, but keeping me safe at the same time.

I was considering many options… but almost every review I have found was pointing to Totobobo. Even if this wasn’t my first choice, I gradually changed my mind and decided to try it. I am very curious of the results. Will be happy to share my opinion as a user in few weeks. Thanks!

  • Edward 2012-12-12, 10:32 pm

I chose Totobobo because it’s hard to find such excellent quality, and at such a reasonable price. Living here in Beijing, China (and riding my bike on the roads) leads one to seek quality equipment in protecting one’s health.

  • Kenneth 2012-12-10, 10:59 am

I am very excited to try your product. I live in Los Angeles, and the particular route I ride to my new workplace traverses one of the busiest airports in the world, LAX. The area is also full of short-route delivery trucks spewing fumes. Cheers.

  • Louise 2012-12-08, 6:40 pm

I bought this mask for my husband. He has asthma and cycles through London everyday. I saw a great review on londoncyclist.co.uk and this mask looks great – fingers crossed!

  • Judy Taylor 2012-12-06, 12:46 pm

I research extensively and all I read was your filters and masks were the best, that is why I ordered. Can’t wait to try them. Judy

  • Francesca 2012-12-04, 9:40 am

I never used this mask, since I just bought it, but I am looking forward though. I discovered about TotoBobo mask when I was discussing about cycling in Beijing with a friend of mine. At that time I used another mask which was too heavy, I couldn’t breathe well and it broke after 1 year I was wearing it. Above all the filters were too expensive.
I hope TotoBobo mask will improve my breathing and cycling.

  • Kelly Sheriff 2012-11-30, 10:10 am

We live in Indonesia and the traffic and pollution is very bad, my 5 year old daughter is on our motorbike with us all the time. Your mask was the only one I could find that would fit a child. I was very happy with how it fitted her small face and she feels very comfortable wearing it. I have just ordered a second mask for myself. thanks

  • Xavier 2012-11-29, 4:04 am

Here in paris there are a lot of diesel vehicles running. Cycling in this town can become quite a hassle during a busy day so i choose to wear a mask.
Working in industry, i have access to a wide range of masks from ffp1 to ffp3, different in size, shape and reusability. I tried several but they all end up fogging my glasses, getting soggy or beeing simply to resisting to the airflow.
I decided to try the totobo for the noseless shape, lightweight and the ease to see the dirtiness of filters.
Positive reviews helped me to make the step.

  • Ariel 2012-11-26, 12:53 pm

I commute by bicycle in Los Angeles and really feel the effects of air pollution on my lungs. Riding through traffic at rush hour can be full of nasty noxious fumes. I have tried other masks and have not been satisfied with the results, as they are really heavy, bulky and hot. I am excited to try the light weight totobobo mask. If it works in China I bet it will do the trick here. It look forward to receiving my masks.

  • Giampiero 2012-11-26, 5:55 am

I use the bike to go to college, about 30-40 minutes each day. I searched the internet for a mask antipollution. On the basis of to research and videos on the site totobobo, the mask totobobo seemed the best one suitable for use in cycling in the city. The value for money seems to be the best!
I just ordered the totobo classic with a two pack of filters (92% and 94%)!
As soon as them arrive, I try a bit ‘and then I’ll post my impressions after using!
    Greetings from Rome

  • Dan 2012-11-22, 5:33 pm

Just made the purchase, thanks to those who have written in as I stumbled on this site after searching online. Seeing the photo of the Bangkok police testing this out also sealed the deal as I’m now living in city going on for three months. I don’t bike yet but I do walk to work use motorcycle taxis from time to time. Wearing the mask is a no-brainer in my mind and I’m looking forward to a future posting after I’ve had the chance to use the Totobobo.

  • Mike McCarthy 2012-11-19, 4:48 pm

Just ordered my second mask – have been so impressed with the first one, I just don’t feel “right” cycling without it now so am ordering a second one to keep at my work place. Am sure will be a customer of TOTOBOBO for many years to come, I am extremely impressed with this well priced and extremely functional product.

  • Mike McCarthy 2012-11-19, 7:42 am

As a cyclist, I been using the mask now for about 6 weeks and am very happy, it definately cuts down on the amount of pollutants one breathes in, and now that the air is much colder and drier (Nagoya Japan) a huge bonus for me is the fact that it cuts down on that cold dry air going straight into my lungs, the mask seems to warm the air up and moistens it cutting down on the cold dryness.
The only problems I had were minor – I cut too much away from the nose part – so cut slowly and carefully, also I hated the head straps – two of them that went around the back of my head, so I changed them so I could loop over my ears and are pre adjusted, very comfortable now!

I also regret not having ordered 2 sets of this mask – I want to keep one at my work place. Another order in the works. I got to say thanks for making a reasonably priced and extremely functional mask.

  • Martien den Hertog 2012-11-19, 4:23 am

Hi I have just ordered. I am using the respro mask but have a lot of trouble concentration on the traffic as I am too bizzy breathing, and my glasses fogg up. I sincerely hope the totobobo mask works better! I tried an N95 mask which is better but has to be replaced often and the sealing appears questionable.

  • Robin 2012-11-19, 3:53 am

I cycle to get between places during the working week in Barcelona, cycling between 10 and 25km per day. 70% of all journeys in this city that are made on foot are made by private motorised transport, and the result is bad air quality on most routes on most days–worse than London or Paris, but not quite as bad as Milan.

I checked out some alternatives, which describe problems with forced breathing, and totobobo looks simple but effective in comparision. I’d liked the demonstration videos too, which inspire a bit of confidence in the purchase. So I’m going to give the “supercool” version a try, although I’ll have to work on breathing in through the mouth and out through the nose, right?

  • Peter K 2012-11-16, 5:05 am

We moved to Szczecin, Poland for one year. The last week has seen high pressure and low temps, combined with fog and everyone’s wood stoves and coal furnaces running. The last few days I have gotten home from my bike commute feeling poisoned. Never felt this way before. Looking around on the net, it seems totobobo has the best chance of saving my lungs and throat while letting me still power up the hills!

  • Deeptha 2012-11-14, 4:09 pm

I chose the Totobobo masks because of BOTS review on it and the India relevant information that one of the posts provided about when to change the filters. I work in Gurgaon and the winter air has become pretty smoggy and hard on my lungs. I am looking forward to the mask easing my commute to and from work!

  • Rebecca 2012-11-13, 9:15 pm

I chose this mask because, after moving to Belgium and being an avid cycle commuter, I was becoming more and more effected by the journey surrounded by many more cars than I was used to. This is really saying something as I am from London! I really hope this mask will work. I had initially gone for the supercool but then realised that as the weather gets colder i get a runny nose – exhaling through my nose is therefore not an option! I realise there will be more condensation issues with the classic but i think this would be more bearable than breathing out of my nose.

  • Kirk deDoes 2012-11-13, 8:30 am

I had received the mask, and wore it all day Sunday, November 11, 2012. While wearing the mask, there was a large amounts of condensation inside the mask, which the filters became very wet and soaked. With the filters being completely soaked, I wasn’t able to effectively breath with the mask on. The soaked filters wouldn’t allow air to pass making breathing difficult. I tried everything, and since I bike long distances, I believe this mask has a huge flaw, which water filled the mask.

I wouldn’t purchase. If you do decide purchasing the mask, be prepared not being able to send it back or receive your money back. It would be nice find a good mask, which this mask is bad.

    • info 2012-11-13, 6:34 pm

Kirk deDoes, thanks for taking time to provide your feedback. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for your day long cycling. Face mask is a personal item, we are sorry that we cannot accept return product (due to personal hygiene issue, as stated on top of our “buy” page). Therefore it is not reasonable to expect refund. As much as we hope, we know it is impossible to claim our mask will satisfy every single customer, yet we try our best within reasonable limit. We do accept return product (and refund) if it is still in the seal package, non-opened, not used.

For the problem of water condensation, the following tips may help:

      1) Try breath out through the nose – our breathe contains a lot of moisture, breath out through the nose helps to bring the moisture out of the (SuperCool) mask immediately.
      2) Breath in through the mouth – for air filtering and also helps to dry the mask
      3) Try not use to the mask in one long continuous stretch, clean the inside of the mask when there is substantial among of water condensation.

The plastic material of Totobobo mask does not absorb water, therefore you will notice water condensation more quickly compare to other water absorbing mask. On the other hand, it is easy to clean and dry the Totobobo mask with a piece of tissue paper, while other water absorbing mask has to be washed and wait for a much longer time to dry. It is both an advantage as well as disadvantage, depends on how you look at it.

  • sanjeev kumar 2012-11-13, 2:24 am

I searched several sites to find a mask that could filter heavy air pollution and chose Totobobo biker masks because the info on the site is well written and from diverse sources.

  • Adam 2012-11-11, 5:42 pm

I just ordered a Totobobo SuperCool mask for my daily cycling in Krakow, Poland. As the winter approaches I can really notice the increased levels of pollution, which is starting to affect my sinuses, throat, and lungs, and this has me quite worried. The heavier amount of traffic pollution in this city is a real shame, especially when combined with the classic Polish coal-burning smell in the cold air. I need protection, and after some research, Totobobo seems like the best choice. I look forward to using my mask!

  • Soumik 2012-11-10, 2:22 pm

I’m from Kolkata, India where the sky is perpetually hazy and the air is heavy and laden with SPM (Suspended Particulate Matter). This is especially noticeable during the winter. People seem to cough and wheeze unnaturally, and attribute this to the cold, but it’s actually due to the pollution.

I have recently started cycling to work daily. The half-hour journey through the busy, polluted streets make me wheezy and out-of-breath. I have also started to noticed a decrease in lung capacity and lung function. I have used masks from North and 3M, but all of them were stuffy and most important of all, prohibitively expensive to get replaced.

I chose Totobobo masks because I have heard a lot of good things about them from Indian cyclers’ blogs and forums. It’s said to be very easy to adjust to suit your face, and the most important advantage of all: the filters are cheap. The high level of pollution here means that filters need to be changed very often. So, Totobobo seems the ideal solution for my needs.

  • Walter L. Coronel 2012-11-08, 2:38 pm

I have been exercising outdoors and the current venue i’m at has a lot of construction going on, the filter will be of great help to keep my allergies at bay!

  • Luisa Costales 2012-11-03, 5:23 am

    Hello!

I chose Totobobo after a long time reading in foros and blogs all around internet.
All opinions, reviews, scientific studies and comments are pointing to this choice.
I’m riding bike in Madrid (even more polluted each day) and i need it!

  • Todd Shore 2012-11-02, 3:32 am

I live in Stuttgart in Germany and commute to work by bike. I find it somewhat ironic that in a city people claim to be “green”, every morning my nose runs and my throat burns after dodging traffic for 25 minutes. Even more ironic is that it seems no one here has even heard of cycling masks before: I’ve even asked in the many pro bike shops here, and no one has a clue.

I chose Totobobo because the price seems the most reasonable even though it seems that the level of filtration is better than the competitors– and most of all, you can print out a test-fit… useful for ordering from another country…

  • Joe Sebes 2012-10-29, 9:39 am

As an artist who is aware of health issues when dealing with potentially hazard materials,
I am always seeking protection to preserve my health via equipment such as the Totobobo mask.
When one works with the artist materials, confidence in the fact one is actually safer, makes for better concentration while working.

  • Odd 2012-10-29, 3:58 am

    I choose Totobobo because:

Best price, Best in test and not to big i face.!!

  • Ray Fedorchak 2012-10-28, 7:29 am

I heard about the Totobobo mask at an art associtation meeting and am looking forward to trying it. I currently wear a mask from the hardware store. I am a Pastel artist.

  • Patricia Phillips 2012-10-27, 7:10 pm

I am retired and have developed breathing problems since moving into a newly built house and , when fitting carpets, the fitter used an adhesive spray. I now suffer asthma in heavy traffic, even when driving, so rather than taking powerful drugs I shall try to protect my lungs.

    Thank you

After many months researching, which would best fit my cycling commutes, many good returns from other cyclist using Totobobe, I decided on the Totobobe Supercool mask. I have researching a long time for a good cycling mask, which I am very excited trying out the Supercool mask. With all others left comments, I believe the mask will be great as described.

  • AC 2012-10-24, 10:20 pm

I’m from Dublin and enjoy cycling to and from work, but I worry about what the car exhaust fumes could be doing to my lungs. I decided to try out Totobobo to see if it will help.

  • Olivia 2012-10-24, 4:44 am

I chose Totobobo because I heard they were the best most affordable masks out there, and I love to drive with the windows open but hate breathing in the smell of exhaust. Also will allow me to bike again, where that concern is even greater.

  • Lvdi 2012-10-21, 8:15 pm

Just ordered a mask with some filters. I live in Beijing, a city known for its air pollution. Some of my colleagues have been using and recommending Totobobo. Thought I should give it a try too!

  • Dimitar 2012-10-21, 11:25 am

I was searching online for masks and while most were normal masks, others were expensive and with high shipping delivery, I decided Totobobo mask is the best choice and ordered the coolest looking :). I m riding a bike in Bangkok ( where you can be stuck between cars and buses for long sometimes) and wanted to have one for long time so I ordered it today, right after I discovered Totobobo.

  • Isa 2012-10-16, 4:00 pm

I live in Jakarta and the pollution from the thick dark exhaust of under maintained public bus diesel engines could make you stop pedaling your cycle. You can’t even breathe! I’ve tried various masks available at the local sellers. Ones available for purchase have not pleased me. While THE ONE that interests me through various positive worldwide reviews (especially from highly polluted places), are always sold out! Good thing totobobo has a customs-friendly package for online order. So here I am.

  • Maria 2012-10-14, 7:37 am

I am a PhD student in Paris. I always bike. I biked when I lived in Berlin too before, but in Berlin I never could smell this horrible smog which is everywhere in Paris.
Straight away I knew that I must find something to protect my lungs from this air, but it took me quite long time to finally find the time and do the search.
Why totobobo? Well, as I am still a student so price is a huge aspect, but also many comments which I found on the net.
Will I stay with totobobo? Let’s see. I never used any filters before, I don’t know how I will like having anything on my face. Another disadvantage is that each time I will want to place order I will have to order from States.
But if it works for me – I am sure I will stick to totobobo.

We are traveling to India. Thought we’d try it.

Living in London, the only respirator widely available to cyclists is the respro. The aforementioned brand fogs up my riding glasses & restricts my breathing during power cycling, more also the fitting is quite uncomfortable.

Cue in my research for a respirator that will tend to deal with my issues.

Results? Well yes the Totobobo fitted the bill, the reviews were from individuals from different countries & nationalities that provided an almost uniform diversed opinion.

My reaction? Just placed an order for the totobobo cyclist deluxcool package & also a totobobo classic.

Can’t wait for its delivery to go on a test drive… my apologies I meant a test ride hopefully to put my woes to rest. If all is as it says on the tin, the only issue will be if the balance against the effects of gasses and/or particulates are maintained. I believe the totobobo addresses the later.

since 2006 I live in beijing, choosing totobobo mask is quite the only option to breathe in this city. it is not only cause this is the best mask for cycling, it is the best mask for daily live. and really in Beijing totobobo mask is something you need every day. it is very comfortable and the most important is that it suites for my child too. we are a real totobobo family. I am very fan of this great mask. I started to use it one year ago and now I can not leave without it. I lost my one in a cab yesterday and I directly purchased a new one right now. this mask really change my life. thanks!

  • Marko 2012-10-06, 2:40 pm

I chose it because It seemed like the best option on the market based on reviews and tests. I just came to Saigon, Vietnam and the air pollution here is terrible

  • Mike McCarthy 2012-10-06, 12:56 pm

Took delivery of my “cycle” mask yesterday and tried it for the first time today – was a short cycle, 12Km. just 35 minutes on my bike was amazed to see it had already discolored from that short time. Can’t imagine how bad it will get after 2 or 3 hours of City riding.
I am still not satisfied with the fit, maybe takes a while to get used to, don’t want to do too much cutting (And do please cut carefully and cautiously). Another upside for me was the mask also stops you from breathing dry air, their is some condensation to take the dry cut out of the air – I like that.
    Design simplicity – Yes.
    Functionality – Yes.
    Fashionable – NO !
I doubt I will ever cycle again without it!

Leaving in Paris, and fan of fixed gear bikes, I am fed up of having a bad throat due to pollution. I have just ordered totobobo, hoping that it will help me… More news when I receive them.

  • Vita 2012-10-02, 8:40 pm

Cant wait to hit the smoggy autumnt streets of Prague with the Totobobo mask!

  • jessica sedlock 2012-09-30, 5:41 pm

I choose totobobo because I nêed a mask that is well fit yet effective. I love to bike to sch?ol everyday however sometimes I come home with a headache from the pollution. With masks like totobobo i hope to sêe more cyclists on the road!

  • Mike McCarthy 2012-09-28, 6:51 pm

I am a cyclist in a large city and the pollution can sometimes be a killer, I did try another mask that also covered my nose but it just so easily fogged my glasses up (As well as costing a lot more!) On an internet search I found this mask and I like the price as well as the fact that it leaves your nose uncovered, cycling with a mask and unfogged glasses will be a luxury!

When cycling around at night, I can see dust flying everywhere and I can feel it in my lungs. I researched some dust masks and came across very few options. Fortunately, Google showed me totobobo. I’m excited to try it out and breathe better while cycling at night.

  • Laurie Lehmann 2012-09-27, 10:50 pm

I bought this mask because I just started chemotherapy and on day one my husband woke up sick with the flu! Hope I can stave it off this till my mask comes. Also the holiday’s are coming and as my treatment progresses I don’t want to worry about not being able to participate because someone else isn’t well!

  • yehuda 2012-09-24, 12:24 am

    I just ordered a Totobobo mask !

I bought it because when i wear it, it looks weird on me, may be because its too big for me.. so i cut the mask and make it smaller.. but it became too small for me -.-” so uncomfortable.. and when i breathe, the air also comes out from my cheek too…zzzzz.. so i tighten it, but when i take off the mask, there are marks of wearing a mask on my face -_-”

So i bought the new one..

  • Marie Radtke 2012-09-20, 12:10 pm

We decided to try the Totobobo mask for my son because we live in the Arizona desert and live with a high dust concentration in the air. My son is also highly alergic to practically everything environmental; grass, trees, weeds. I hope that wearing this mask will allow my son to have a full, enjoyable life where he can explore, play and live outside. His goal is to be able to play baseball without getting sick the following day. My goal is to see him happy playing with others outside. We all look forward to what we anticipate to be a life changing product.

  • Kim 2012-09-19, 1:58 pm

The downside of moving from Cairo to Chengdu is that again we will be exposed to a lot of pollution. I read very good reviews about the totobobo masks and I’m looking forward to try them.

  • Kim Gurevitch 2012-09-17, 6:41 am

I look forward to using TOTOBOBO classic.
Bikes on one of the busiest streets every day in
Copenhagen, a happy bike city in Denmark.

I’m writing this before comment regarding why I chose Totobobo in an attempt to get a free filter.

But my reason for getting the Totobobo is not free filter!
I bike in Miami, Florida, a city known for being unfriendly to cycling, and obsessed with traffic. A study I read some months ago woke me to the alarming impacts of vehicle pollution on pedestrians, and as a cyclist I am right in the midst of what is simply the periphery to those on the sidewalk. I often have cars passing within a few feet, their exhausts spewing fumes into my path. I know totobobo cannot filter fumes, but blocking 90%+ of particulate which exacerbates my mucus production and harms my immune system is of great importance as I hope to live a long and healthy life!

Hi Sumesh, that’s very kind of you. I hope your carpenters. I am sure they will appreciate your gesture. Do let us know if they like Totobobo mask or not 🙂

  • Sumesh 2012-09-15, 12:25 am

I choose Totobobo because of the design and i am buying this for my carpenters.
They work for me with passion and i found them suffering because of the dust involved.
Though it took me sometime to convince him :–)

  • francis 2012-09-09, 11:49 am

Thanks for your feedback everyone! I wish to hear from you again soon!

  • Nadia 2012-09-09, 11:40 am

I live in Bali and the traffic is getting worse and worse. The pollution is way too much, smoke, dusk, and other small particles. Without using mask, it really stresses me out, knowing that I breathe bad air and my lungs will suffer eventually. So, I look up what is the best mask and the one that really works, then I found TOTOBOBO mask. Now, my husband and I are waiting for the mask. Can’t wait to use it :)..

  • Doug 2012-09-08, 12:45 pm

I have bought this mask because it’s light and the face seal is more effective than many other masks. I live in a Chinese city with heavy air pollution.

  • Diane 2012-09-08, 3:27 am

I am traveling to the Yellow Mountain for a couple of weeks of photography. I’ve read about the pollution, so decided the mask would make my trip more pleasant.

  • Janelle M 2012-09-06, 8:35 pm

I chose the mask because living and working in a polluted city such Beijing makes me protect my lungs when I am traveling around the city. Some of friends use the mask and cannot say enough good things about it.

  • PETER INNES 2012-09-06, 2:04 am

I’m purchasing Totobobo for a friend. We live in the country and she has trouble breathing. I hope that Totobobo will help by filtering out the spores which attack her lungs.

  • carlo benavides 2012-08-31, 3:29 am

I decided to purchase the totobobo mask instead of the respa since I’ve been reading great reviews about it. Please send more matrix filters free since the smell is horrible here in the philippines.

  • Richard Gordon 2012-08-29, 12:01 am

I am a full time wood turner. I chose your mask because I am now using a Triton Respirator, but because they are no longer manufactured I can not get any spare parts, and I am hoping your mask will be a suitable replacement.

  • Ivo 2012-08-23, 9:56 pm

I ordered a Totobobo Cyclist Supercool package just now. It is a present for my wife. She cycles daily in Lisbon and dislikes the pollution from traffic – particularly when she gets stuck behind buses.

We did some research on cycling masks and the testimonials we found made us choose the Totobobo supercool over other alternatives (either more expensive or that seemed to be poor quality). I am quite confident she will like it!

  • Rob 2012-08-19, 8:52 pm

I thought I’d give the mask a try. I cycle in London and have tried other masks, but they always fogged up my glasses and made me very hot. let’s see what the Super Cool can do!

  • oLIVER 2012-08-17, 5:47 pm

yesss i dont se de moment to wear it, since i met a friend in Thailand last month i want to wear it and make my lungs healthier!!!!

  • Bimmo 2012-08-15, 5:20 pm

It has been two years since I first use totobobo mask. Generally, I’m satisfy eith the quality of the mask. I knew totobobo mask from my bike to work community (b2w indonesia), buy first kit from them and use it every since. For me, totobobo mask very effective to reduce polluted air get into my lungs. And also, the mask is light and compact enough to be put in my work bag. I never get breathing problem. I thank totobobo to keep me healthy even have to break through terrible traffic every day.

  • Michael Veneziano 2012-08-14, 11:17 pm

Seems like a very comfortable filter, hard to find a good one that is comfortable

  • Afshin Shahriari 2012-08-12, 10:38 pm

I live in London, love cycling, but want to protect my lungs from exhaust fumes. Totobobo seemed expensive, but has had positive reviews.

  • Phil 2012-08-11, 8:45 pm

I live in London and ride everywhere but grow tired of smoking the big red four wheeled diesel pipe. Bring me sweet sweet filtered air please.

  • Pablo Flores 2012-08-11, 3:53 am

I Choose Totobobo because it seems more appropriate for highspeed cycling ride trought the city. I´m from Santiago of Chile, a big city with a lot of Smog, also the Spring is comming and the pollen from the trees plus the pollution kill my lungs. I´m already waiting for the mask!
