Why do people choose Totobobo Mask?

Why do People Choose Totobobo Mask? and why not?
Google AI :

People choose the Totobobo mask for its customizable fit and reusability, which can make it more comfortable and environmentally friendly than disposable masks. However, some people may not choose it due to the time-consuming process to get a perfect fit and concerns about its effectiveness compared to professional certifications like N95 masks.

Why do people choose Totobobo Mask?

Why people choose it

  • Customizable and comfortable fit: The mask is heat-moldable and can be adjusted to fit the user’s unique face shape, which can result in a better seal than many generic masks, especially for those who have difficulty getting a good fit with N95s.
  • Reusability and sustainability: The mask can be washed, and the filters can be replaced, reducing waste and potentially lowering long-term costs compared to disposable masks.
  • Transparency and communication: The transparent material allows for better face-to-face communication and visual cues.
  • Filter efficiency: It comes with filters that can provide a good level of protection, with the ability to upgrade to higher-rated filters (like the Pro-99) for greater protection.
  • Comfort during activity: Users report it as comfortable for activities like cycling or running and that it minimizes glasses fogging.

Why people do not choose it

  • Initial setup may be difficult: Achieving the perfect seal can be a time-consuming trial-and-error process that may be frustrating for some users.
  • Not N95 certified: The mask is not officially N95 certified, so while it can be highly effective with a good fit, it does not carry the same official assurance of protection as a certified N95 mask does, which can be important in high-risk situations.
  • Moisture buildup: Some users have reported that the mask can accumulate moisture during use, especially in hot and humid conditions.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions:

Q1: Why should I choose the Totobobo Mask over disposable or N95 masks?
A: The Totobobo Mask offers a customizable heat-moldable fit that conforms to your unique face shape, often providing a better seal than many standard masks, especially for users who find N95 masks uncomfortable or ill-fitting. Its reusable design reduces waste and long-term costs, and the transparent material improves communication by allowing visibility of facial expressions.

Q2: Is the Totobobo Mask as effective as an N95 mask?
A: Although the Totobobo Mask is not officially N95 certified, lab tests (Nelson Laboratories) show that its filters achieve filtration efficiencies up to 99.86% for very fine particles. Real-world, scientific published studies indicate that when properly fitted, the Totobobo Mask can achieve filtration performance comparable to N95 masks for many users, with a higher likelihood of obtaining a good fit due to its customizable design.

Q3: How difficult is it to get a perfect fit with the Totobobo Mask?
A: Most user will be able to get a good fit immediately out of the pack. Some may find it require customisation. For this group, achieving a perfect seal requires some time to adjust, reshape, or even trimming the mask. This process can involve trial and error, but it is facilitated by the mask’s transparent edges, which allow visual confirmation of gaps (Visual Seal Cheak method). This effort ultimately results in a more comfortable and effective fit.

Q4: Does the Totobobo Mask cause moisture buildup?
A: Some users have reported moisture accumulation inside the mask, particularly in cold conditions. Proper adjustment and regular cleaning can help reduce moisture levels, and the mask’s breathable design improves comfort during activities such as cycling or running.

Q5: How does the Totobobo Mask support sustainability?
A: Unlike disposable masks that contribute to landfill waste, the Totobobo Mask is made from durable plastic that can be cleaned and reused. Its replaceable filters extend its lifespan, reducing environmental impact and offering a cost-effective solution over time.

Q6: Will the Totobobo Mask fit comfortably during physical activities?
A: Many users report that the mask remains comfortable and stable during physical activities, such as cycling or running. Its customizable fit minimizes glasses fogging and maintains comfort even during extended wear.

Q7: What if I need a better or different level of filtration?
A: The Totobobo Mask supports changing filters, including higher-performance options like Pro-99 filters, allowing you to upgrade your protection based on your needs and environment.

I’ve been using Totobobo mask for a while as a bicycle courier in Budapest and apart from the moisture building up in the mask, I really like it. A breathing valve would be a great improvement, but lately I’m consciously breathing out from my nose and it’s significantly less moisture than from breathing out from mouth. It’s a great product overall and I absolutely recommend it. Even the support is wonderful, they are really kind and helpful. The shipping was extremely fast and they sent me a gift too, which I was really happy about. Thank you, Totobobo! ❤️

I’m an artist and mainly plan to use the Totobobo mask for pastels, but also for some wood sanding and ceramics. I found your product by googling “best mask for soft pastel”, and your site showed up near the top. After doing a bit of research, I decided to give the Totobobo mask a try since regular masks and respirators don’t fit my face well—I’ve got a low nose bridge—so I thought this one might work better.

I live in Budapest, Hungary — a vibrant city of about two million people. I work in an office, and cycling is by far my favorite way to commute. The only real drawback is the air pollution. Even though I use designated bike paths, many of them run right beside busy roads, and I can often feel the effect in my nose when the air quality drops.

As a side gig, I sometimes do food deliveries by bike, which takes me through the city center quite often. I hope the Totobobo mask will help protect me from the health risks of traffic-related air pollution.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful extras, the speedy preparation, and the photo — that was such a pleasant surprise!

I will be using the mask in DUBAI. Mostly, we walk the dog, occasionally go to the desert, and run errands. Once my bike arrives, I plan to ride around the neighborhood—not competitive endurance riding, just for enjoyment and to get outside.
The air quality in DUBAI is not great due to PM particles, a mix of dust, construction, (PM10) and car pollution (PM2.5). According to my IQAir monitor’s Air Quality Index readings, indoors it’s 44 and outdoors it’s 115!

I plan to use this mask daily for virus protection whenever I’m out and about. I’ve struggled with fit issues using many other masks, so I’m hopeful that the Totobobo mask will suit my face shape better thanks to its customizable design. I prefer to tailor my own masks because the Totobobo masks seem straightforward and easy to adjust!

I’ve been using the Totobobo Mask mainly for my daily bike commute in Bangkok and wanted to share my experience after just two days of use. I posted pictures from yesterday and today on my Facebook and Strava profiles (search “Nantapol Tan” if you want to follow along). I’ve also attached more photos showing the 92 filters from day 3 to day 7—Start from 21-25 and 28- 29 Apr, I’ve commuted totals 157 km (usually 11 km in the morning and 11.5 km in the evening), averaging about 1 hour and 20 minutes of riding per day, and over 9 hours in total for the week.

For context, I ride a road bike and stick to the main roads in Bangkok, which means I’m constantly exposed to high air pollution. Seeing how quickly the filters darken really brings home how challenging Bangkok’s pollution and environmental management issues are. My used filters speak for themselves.

Also, a quick side note about customer service: back in January, I ordered a Cycling/Running set, but some items were out of stock—I received a prompt full refund, which I really appreciated. More recently I spotted the “Wildfire Bundle,” which is a great value and fits my needs perfectly.

If you’d like more details, just let me know. Happy to share anything else that helps other cyclists in Bangkok!

I ride a bike a lot in a city with heavy traffic, (Budapest, Hungary). I want to use the mask to protect myself from air pollution. I’ve read good reviews about it and am really looking forward to trying it.

I travel fulltime, so I take a lot of airplane flights and often spend time in places with poor air quality. I just wanted to have the masks on hand in case we need them.
