Step 1: choose a size
Both sizes are the same shell and take the same filters. Every mask can be trimmed with scissors to match your face, so the size is a starting point, not a limit.
Large
Most adult men and larger faces. If you are unsure, Large is the usual adult choice; a high nose bridge or wide jaw is handled by trimming and heat-moulding.
Small
Most women, teenagers and children from about age 5. Trim it down further for a small face. This is the size in the children’s set.
SuperCool (mouth-only)
Covers the mouth and nose without the upper bridge, for hard exercise or if your glasses fog. Same filters, lighter feel.
Step 2: choose a filter grade
All grades fit every mask and are replaced as a pair. Higher numbers filter more; lower numbers breathe more easily.
Everyday city air and dust. Easiest breathing. Up to 2 weeks per pair.
The all-round choice for commuting and haze. Up to 2 weeks per pair.
Highest filtration of the standard grades; the filter tested by Nelson Labs. Up to 2 weeks per pair.

Filtration figures apply to the filter material under laboratory test conditions. Real-world protection depends on the seal on your face, which is why the mask is designed to be trimmed and checked with the visual seal check.
Three quick questions
What if I pick the wrong size?
Large and Small overlap. A Large can be trimmed down considerably; a Small fits most women and children from about age 5. If you are between sizes, choose Large and trim.
How do I know it seals?
The shell is transparent, so you can see the seal line on your skin after wearing it. If there is a gap, trim or heat-mould that spot. Step-by-step seal check.
How long does a mask last?
The shell is reusable for years and washable; only the filters are replaced, every 2 weeks (F92/F94/F96) or monthly (Pro99) in normal use. How to clean it.
